• Bulahdelah Bypass: After some years the highway bypass will be completed by Christmas 2011. This is a much awaited development by businesses and residents. Bulahdelah has already become very much a weekend destination rather than just a “highway town” and losing the Pacific Highway volume of traffic will be another shot in the arm for this historic community. Many people believe that Bulahdelah, with its easy proximity to Sydney and Newcastle, has the potential to become the Mittagong, Bowral or Morpeth of the mid-north coast.

• Down Under Brewery resorts have DA approval from Great Lakes Council to operate a brewery business and manage 105 apartments adjacent to the golf course at Bulahdelah.

Not only will this development draw visitors and business, it will be the largest employer in town and create quite a few jobs which will put upward pressure on the limited housing market.
